She completed her abdominal imaging fellowship at UCSF in December 2023, during which she focused on complicated examinations including post-transplant and post-operative imaging, trauma-based radiology, and diverse, rare pathology.

In addition to CT and ultrasound imaging, Dr. Kirsch is trained in specialty and complex MRI cases such as prostate, rectal, and gynecology. She is first author for publications on fetal ultrasound, the effects of nitrous oxide abuse, and acute viral encephalitis. She has presented research at regional and national conferences on imaging blunt injuries to the bowel and mesentery, choroid plexus carcinoma, biopsy of suspicious osseous lesions, non-adnexal ectopic pregnancy, neuroimaging of acute viral encephalitis, and imaging of toxic and metabolic encephalopathy. As a medical student, Dr. Kirsch conducted a longitudinal study Assessing Caregiver Perceptions of Physician Communication with Disabled Patients, examining the perceptions that caregivers of disabled pediatric patients have regarding communication with their child’s physicians.  Dr. Kirsch enjoys teaching medical students whether in the reading room, via lectures, or in formal and informal mentoring relationships. During residency, Dr. Kirsch was recognized for her contributions to medical education (2020-22), and with neuroradiology Case of the Year awards. Dr. Kirsch has provided resident lectures on Introduction to Abdominal Imaging, Introduction to Breast Imaging, and Introduction to Genitourinary Imaging.
