Alice C. Huang received her medical degree from Albany Medical College and completed her pediatric residency training at Nicklaus Children's Hospital in Miami, Florida. She attained her pediatric gastroenterology fellowship training at Stanford’s Lucile Packard Children's Hospital in Palo Alto, California.

She did additional advanced fellowship training in neurogastroenterology/motility at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Alice Huang also graduated from business school with a Masters in Business Administration from Clarkson University, with a major in Healthcare Business Administration.

Her research focus is in the unique application of revolutionary technologies, like virtual reality, to enhance the education, monitoring and treatment of common pediatric gastroenterology conditions. She had won the N.A.S.P.G.H.A.N. Innovations in Clinical Care grant for her research in a virtual reality-based diaphragmatic breathing module that she created to augment the treatment of pediatric functional constipation and encopresis. Her other passions also include the creative utilization of media, like authoring a children's book dedicated to children with short-gut syndrome, to increase the representation of diverse pediatric gastroenterology conditions and improve the quality of life for her patients.
