Alexandra Highet, MD, MSc is currently a general surgery resident with the UCSF Department of Surgery. She completed her undergraduate degree at Williams College, where she double majored in Art History and French.

She collaborated in clinical and quality improvement research, worked in outdoor education, and completed a Fulbright Fellowship in Turkey prior to matriculating at the University of Michigan Medical School in 2016. Between her third and fourth years of medical school, she completed a Master's of Science in Clinical Research funded through a National Institutes of Health training grant and engaged in a variety of health services research and medical education initiatives.
Alex is thrilled to be pursuing her surgical training at UCSF. She is currently interested in pediatric surgical disparities research, surgical education, and enhancing surgery as a pivot point to advance population and behavioral health.
