Aileen Chang, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the University of California, San Francisco. She is the Founding Director of the Dermatology Consult Service at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG), Director of Research for ZSFG Dermatology, and co-Director of the Social Determinants of Health Curriculum for UCSF Dermatology.

Dr. Chang’s research is rooted in improving health outcomes in dermatology for all populations locally and globally. For over a decade, Dr. Chang led transnational, multidisciplinary projects related to lymphedema and wound care management, telemedicine-enabled learning platforms, and developing dermatology capacity in low-and-middle-income countries. Dr. Chang’s current research broadly focuses on the impact of social and structural factors on the development, clinical presentation, and treatment of skin conditions using quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods approaches.
